BOScom's e-Twin@x Controller v. 3.04

Designed to protect and enhance the organization's existing infrastructure, BOScom's e-Twin@x Controller can be used either locally or remotely to bridge all Twinax displays (including dumb terminals and PCs with emulation software) and SCS and IPDS printers, to the TCP/IP network. The Controller eliminates all SNA, AnyNet, and MPTN traffic, leaving the network with a single protocol: pure TCP/IP, which is easy to configure and maintain and is routable. For remote locations, it provides a secure, low-cost connection to the host over the Internet, saving organizations thousands of dollars each month in leased line costs.

Developer's Take:
"For many years now, AS/400 shops have invested in Twinax, which provided a simple and efficient method of connecting PCs and terminals to the midrange host. However, that access was restricted, required special equipment, complex, and/or costly. When IBM released OS/400 V3R7, supporting TN5250e, it allowed terminal and printer emulation over TCP/IP. The e-Twin@x Controller, with its extensive auto-configuration features, provides a flexible way for organizations to retain their investment in Twinax while taking advantage of the popular TCP/IP protocol."
--Edik Furlender, R&D Product Manager
